This dining cabinetry system combines cream-finish panels, walnut accents and natural travertine details. The main cabinet wall is paired with a travertine island and a walnut dining table that extends into the island, creating a continuous material relationship across the dining area.
The cabinet wall incorporates open display niches within the surrounding storage units. The niche backs are finished with travertine, while one of the open sections serves as a coffee station. Integrated LED strip lighting adds ambient illumination within the niches and brings additional depth to the stone surfaces.
From a manufacturing perspective, the project required precise coordination between the cabinet panels, travertine back panels and integrated lighting. Where travertine meets wood and melamine panels, dimensional accuracy is critical to achieve flush seams and maintain precise alignment between the different materials. ZHEMOO’s CNC machining and precision panel-cutting processes allow these cabinet components to be produced to the required dimensions before assembly.
The integrated lighting also requires the cabinet structure to be prepared during production rather than added after installation. Cabinet panels are pre-milled on CNC machining centres with dedicated wiring channels and recessed aluminium profile grooves, allowing the LED system and wiring to remain concealed within the cabinet construction. Edge banding is then completed on the applicable panel edges.
This project demonstrates how mixed-material cabinet construction, open niches and integrated lighting can be resolved at the manufacturing stage. The travertine interfaces, CNC-machined lighting routes and precision-finished cabinet panels are produced as part of the same cabinetry package, allowing the finished cabinet wall to retain the intended proportions and detailing.
